Unexplained, Not Unreal
I’m aware that many people don’t have a clear understanding of what the paranormal really is. Often, their ideas are shaped by sensationalized shows, fiction books, movies, or by academic papers that dismiss "paranormal beliefs" as “contaminated mindware.” (I will write about this later)
This is unfortunate, because the paranormal is not simply a fantasy or belief system. While people may form imaginings and beliefs around unexplained phenomena, the root of the word "paranormal" lies in reported experiences - meaning these events are claimed to have actually happened.
So why is there so little accepted evidence for these occurrences? Because they tend to happen rarely, unpredictably, spontaneously, and quickly. And even when someone does capture evidence, it is often ridiculed, misinterpreted, or ignored. This hostile response discourages witnesses from speaking up, which only deepens the stigma and silence around these experiences.
